Flat Tomato (Time Management) App Reviews

Its a great app. Theres a lot of science behind pomodoros, and as a writer Ive found them immensely helpful with maximizing my creative output. The only issue with flat tomato is that the controls are not very obvious. But once you read the FAQs and get used to it, its all very intuitive.

This app has helped my productivity so much over the past few weeks. Its easy to use, helps you keep track of your productivity, and looks nice. In the past few updates, it has continued to get better and better.

This app is great. Easy to use, and not fussy. I like the sound affects on the breaks. I just wish it had a pause, rather than a "stop" for interruptions.

I find myself using this most everyday. The interface is very nice and simple. The extra .99 for the calendar feature is worth it after theyve updated the visual charts which are helpful for reviewing your days. This is the single most useful app for the pomodoro technique.

It really helps me to stay focused and never lets me get exhausted! I highly recommend this app and this whole concept, give it a chance, and you wont regret it!

This little app hits the sweet spot between fun, innovative, and practical. The new version would stop automatically if I left the app, and this threw my work flow off, but there is a setting to turn this off. Things I love: 1. Sorry visual interface! 2. Ability to teach Pom. cycles I invest in projects and export to. csv! 3. Good, working integration with my watch! Ive tried over 20 Pomodoro apps (including all of the apps that offer watch integration), and this is the best Ive seen.

I love how simple and straightforward this app is compared to the other pomodoro apps. However, while the creators may have good intentions, its pretty annoying that they try to force their ideology onto you with respect to, for example, no pause button being available on purpose, in particular because of how great this app otherwise is. At the very least I would love to be able to set it so that it doesnt automatically begin the next timer when the current one ends, to give me time to transition between break and work modes. I really wish the creators would be open to adding these changes, it would really perfect the app in my opinion. I would be willing to pay for those features.

I paid the upgrade to be able to manage my tasks with a bit more granularity. It is well wiry it to me. In this new update, it defaults to stopping the timer if you move out of the app. To turn this off, de-select "lock app" on the screen settings. This was not very intuitive and it took me a while to figure out.

However, its little confusing how to make defualt distractions.

Ive tried Pomodoro off and on for several years with very little success. This is the only one that is actually working for me. The reason is that, not only is it a beautiful app with smooth flowing animations, but it also tracks both completed Pomodoros AND interruptions. Only when you do that, do you minimize the temptation to cheat. From there you motivation and discipline shoots up. UPDATE: 9/2/2015 Since writing the review above, Ive tired other Pomodoro apps, time trackers, and even 30/30 -- but Flat Tomato again is the one I come back to.

It helps me stay on track of all my tasks. Its a great app!

I didnt think it would work until I tried it !!! Simply amazing. The only thing not working as it should is the double tap to stop an ongoing session, the app becomes unresponsive sometimes.

I remember when I had first downloaded this app mouths again it was very confusing and frustrating to use. But now OMG the new updates make this app work like a smooth dream. I love to finally be able to write whatever task Im working on and view the calendar and statistics, which is a very important key in the pomodoro technique. Everything else is a lot easier to understand and the customization thats available is amazing!! Thanks so much! This is now my fav app and perfect working buddy.

The taps arent always super responsive, but for a free app its pretty awesome. Syncs to Todoist (and Apple native calendar) plus has 3D Touch quick start

Really good. I love that you can link to the calendar. Could run and feel a little smoother. One other little improvement would be to display the name if the actual task instead of the letter corresponding to it for a little added reminder of what youre supposed to be working on. Otherwise I like it and use it often.

High marks for the feel and look of this app -- sleek and cool. If you simply want to apply Pomodoro technique right out of gate, this is a good app. Low marks for ease-of-use of the more sophisticated functions, a combination of poor availability of information (easily solved with more FAQ) and some clunky functions. I look forward to future updates.

Elegant interface. Very satisfying to use. Easy to grasp. With just enough customization and features to satisfy everyone from novices to GTD nerds.
